February 24, 2022 Superintendent Update:

At the February BOE meeting the board members approved contracts with Koehn Construction and HB&K Architecture who will be working to start our building project. This building will have six classrooms and two restrooms and will house Kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. The older classrooms will be used for specialists like counselors, speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and others. The building will be directly in front of the upper elementary. USD 286 BOE is very excited about this project and what it will bring to our school. This project will be funded from our capital outlay fund. The district has been awarded federal ESSER funds. Plans are being made to update curriculum, technology, and additional instructional tools to help our students bridge learning gaps caused by the pandemic.
