Dear Families of 9-12 Students,
USD 286 takes very seriously the responsibility to keep our students, teachers, school staff, and families safe and to provide the best possible education for our children. Today at 2:30 we were notified that a high school teacher had an exposure to a positive COVID case. The teacher is now in quarantine. We have temporarily closed off that classroom so that it will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfect before students return tomorrow.
Chautauqua County Health Department has been contacted and at this time students are considered a secondary contact. We will encourage parents/guardians to monitor their students and we will as well.
I know our community will meet this challenge head on and we will work together to do what is best for students. Please feel free to call me with any questions you might have at the USD 286 District Office. 620-725-3187.
Sincerely,
Kay Hill
Superintendent
