PowerSchool Data Breach

Our school uses PowerSchool as the student information system to record student and staff data. PowerSchool is a leading worldwide provider of this service, and our school has been a customer for over 20 years. 

Unfortunately, on December 22, 2024, PowerSchool suffered an internal data breach, which included our school’s data. In addition to our school being impacted, thousands of other schools worldwide are dealing with this data breach as well. USD 286 is working with PowerSchool to collect information on what data was accessed. PowerSchool has indicated that the issue is contained, and the information has been secured and was NOT released publicly. PowerSchool is continuing to investigate the issue and will be providing more information in the coming days. As information comes, we will pass it on as soon as possible.
